Featured Artist: Solario

A native Californian, Laguna Beach was always a favorite stop for Matías Solario on his yearly sojourn down the coast from San Francisco. We discovered Solario in Japan at the Greenroom Festival, and when the time came for an illustration of our Laguna Beach store, we knew he was the man for the job.

Now based in sunny Waikiki, Solario draws inspiration from his tropical locale and the timeless charm of mid-century modern design. In addition to showcasing the architectural legacy of Hawaii, his illustrations celebrate the cultural, natural, and historical aspects of life in the islands. His works allude to the island life of yesteryear with warm tropical vibes and endless sunshine.
