Campout with Deus, Seea, and Lomography

  |

"Happy. Just in my swim shorts, barefooted, wild-haired, in the red fire dark, singing, swigging wine, spitting, jumping, running - that's the way to live. All alone and free in the soft sands of the beach by the sigh of the sea out there." - Jack Kerouac, from The Dharma Bums We decided to gather up some friends and break up the work week with a bonfire, some beers, the beach and really not much more than that. What ensued was a night filled with the open air, open skies, campfire music and a faint reminder of why we do what we do. Sometimes making your hobby your life can be kind of weird, you never really know if you're able to separate the two.  This night was different. No agenda, no itinerary, no rules. All we set out to do was get outside and have fun with friends and that's exactly what we did. In the midst of it reminding ourselves that it isn't entirely necessary to distinguish life from work, as long as you love what you do. One night, one random tuesday night and we walked away knowing that we are doing the right thing. Blending love, life, friends, and laughter in a way that the word ‘Work' is no longer relevant. A blurred line. Maybe a concoction of all those things mixed together. Here's to blurring that word ‘Work' and redefining it. If this photo set serves as anything, we hope it reminds everyone the possibilities and opportunities of taking advantage of your surroundings. Go outside, get your friends outside. Most importantly, get rid of regiment. If only for a night. "There was nowhere to go but everywhere, so just keep on rolling under the stars." -Kerouac, from On The Road
