Led by front man Jonathan Richman, The Modern Lovers only existed for a brief period in the early seventies, and didn't release any of their recordings until a few years after they broke up. Richman went on to perform under Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers and now just performs a more folky sound as a solo show. The Modern Lovers helped pave the way for a lot of new wave, punk and post punk bands, and this live demo recording of She Cracked is probably one of our favorites.
