This Thursday June 2nd Thalia Surf is stoked to host "Rise and Shine" featuring the artwork of Laguna Beach local Lauryn Alvarez. Asked about her new work Lauryn says, "Rise and Shine is inspired by embracing a fresh a start. In each season of life, I find new ways to embrace change, grow and push myself. Similarly, each morning, the sun rises and it is a new day, we have the opportunity to start fresh. This collection was created in my new studio space, which was very inspiring for me and I found excitement in trying new techniques, colors, and ideas."
In honor of this fresh start Lauryn has collaborated with Thalia Surf on a new t-shirt design to slide in alongside the wonderful work that she has done for us in the past and recent work for Seager Co. Come on down to the shop in Laguna Beach this Thursday from 6-9 pm to get your hands on some new artwork and new threads; hang with friends, have a drink, and grab a warm slice of pizza, on us.
