Men's Wetsuits
Men's wetsuits built for California water and beyond. Retro cut full suits, spring suits, and jackets in quality neoprene. From dawn patrol 4/3s to summer springers, shop the rubber that keeps you out longer.
What wetsuit thickness do you need?
Thickness is written as two numbers (for example 4/3mm). The first is the torso, the second the arms and legs. In Southern California, most surfers run a 3/2mm spring through fall and step up to a 4/3mm full suit in winter, when water drops into the high 50s°F. Colder mornings or Northern California sessions can call for a 4/3 with a hood, boots, and gloves.
Full suits, spring suits, and jackets
A full suit covers arms and legs for cold water. A spring suit (short arms and legs) bridges those in between days. A wetsuit jacket or vest adds core warmth over boardshorts on mild days. Seam construction matters too: flatlock breathes for warm water, while glued and blind stitched (often taped) seams keep cold water out in winter suits.
Fit and care
A wetsuit should fit like a second skin, snug with no loose folds in the lower back or behind the knees, but not so tight you cannot fill your lungs or rotate to paddle. Rinse in fresh water after every surf and dry in shade to make the neoprene last. Pair with boardshorts for summer and a board bag for travel.
