Thursday Tunage - Meet The Survivors

The Survivors never made it big, well sort of. At least the lead singer did. You may have heard of him. Brian Wilson ring any bells? Yep, The Survivors were a studio band that released only 2 singles, 'Pamela Jean' and 'After The Game' in early 1964, however The Beach Boys were already an established pop group at the time and later peaked in '68 with Pet Sounds. Not sure what drove Wilson to do The Survivors, but we're also not sure why he put his piano in a sandbox in his living room, or built a tipi in his backyard [although we are not opposed to following suit].
