The time is upon us. Heat waves, party waves, surf rats and beach babes are abound here in the artist colony of Laguna Beach.
This month's Wax Ball Concert will bring
Gap Dream, all the way from Cleveland, Ohio to headline the night. If you have yet to hear Gap Dream, you're in for a huge treat from this
Burger Records band. WFMU rated their self titled release the #1 album of 2012. Gabe Fulvimar of the band even occupied a spot in The Black Keys on their first album., although Gap Dream is a completely different sound. Think of glam meets surf meets the hazy energy you get when staying up past 3am. Starting off the night will be the local Laguna garage rippers
Your Ugly Sister. Self described as sludge rock, Your Ugly Sister brings a fuzzed out surf punk sound. They played a Wax Ball a year ago for us and we're stoked to get some Laguna love on stage for the night. They're currently working on a new album on
Lollipop Records in LA, and have one full cassette out already. This show is 21+ and $5 at the door at the
Marine Room. Show up early, it'll most definitely be packed and awesome.
